Tenting

When I shared my first design with the Charachorder Discord community, I got the feedback that the ergonomics of the device are much better with “tenting.” Tenting is the ability to place the device at an angle to the tabletop and allows your hand to rest in a more natural position while typing. This was my first stab at a tenting design. The hand pieces are velcroed to flaps that are attached to hinges at the outside and a little leg extends down from the flat and sits in grooves engraved into the bottom of the tray. This was much more comfortable to type on but the travel of my hands from the handpieces to the trackpad was awkward.
